JANET'S ANTIQUES RETURNS POLICY NOTICE:
PLEASE READ ENTIRE RETURNS POLICY BEFORE ACTING TO RETURN AN ITEM.
ITEMS RETURNED THAT DO NOT FOLLOW THIS POLICY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
We understand that sometimes the item selected does not work for you. Therefore if you are dissatisfied with your order, we want to find a way to clear the problem up and do what is needed to fulfill your goals.

IF YOU PLAN TO RETURN THE ITEM, PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST contact us within FOUR
WEEK DAYS AFTER THE DELIVERY TO YOUR HOME.
Janet or Jane will acknowledge your request to return the item in writing mailed within three days of you request to make a return.
We will also help you arrange for its return and for a refund or credit provided the item is returned to us in the same condition it left our shop.
HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM
1. CONTACT JANET OR JANE IMMEDIATELY by email
janethoopes@sbcglobal.net or phone (608-238-3300) TO INFORM THEM YOU ARE RETURNING THE ITEM. The buyer pays for the return of this package, including shipping and insurance, unless otherwise agreed upon inwriting.
2. DO NOT return damaged items to the shop. Please see directions below.
3. Your returned package must be returned by its original carrier, unless otherwise agreed on in writing.between the buyer .
and seller, insured for the original price, with its original, intact receipt, shop tags and identifying marks.
4. Refunds for items returned will be credited in the same form as the original payment. (eg. same Visa o MC)

6. Please mail your package in a prepaid, traceable, insured package to the following address:

After the shop owners receive and verify that the item has been returned in the same condition in which it was sent, they will issue a full refund within seven business days.
The shop owners will make the refund in a traceable manner so the receipt conformation can be verified.
They will make the refund in either a personal check, a cashier's check,or they will issue a credit to your charge account, depending on the original method used to purchase the item.
RE: DAMAGED ITEMS: DO NOT RETURN DAMAGED ITEMS TO THE SHOP OWNERES.
TO DO SO WILL VOID THE SHIPPING INSURANCE.
1. Remember, to begin the process of returning damaged items by first contacting the shop owners, Janet Hoopes or Elizabeth Barber, at 608-238-3300 immediately to inform them of the damage.
2. Next, make a claim for reimbursement for the damage through the shipping agent of the company that shipped the item. Every shipping company is different, so ask the shipping agent for instructions.
3, Retain all of the orignial packaging, and all pieces of the damaged item. The shipping agent will inspect them. If the buyer files a claim against the shipping company, the shop owners will assist by providing necessary insurance information. We will work toward negotiating a mutually agreeable resolution.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RETURNS MUST BE INSURED BY THE BUYER FOR FULL VALUE. Please note that all shipments must be insured by the buyer unless buyer declines the insurance. Buyer will have the insurance option at checkout.
IF THE BUYER DECLINES INSURANCE, THE SHOP OWNERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE TO THE ITEM IN SHIPPING.
You should decide if you want to use the carriers we regularly use, or insure via a third party agent. If needed, contact the shop and they will try to guide you through this process.
REMEMBER THAT RETURNING THE ITEM(S) TO THE SHOP DOES VOID THE INSURANCE ON THE PURCHASE.
IN THE EVENT THAT THE ITEM IS RETURNED TO THE SHOP OWNERS IN DAMAGED OR IN A DIFFERENT CONDITION, THE SHOP OWNERS WILL INFORM THE CUSTOMER OF THE DAMAGE WITHIN SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THE ITEM AND AN INVESTIGATION WILL BEGIN TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DAMAGE.
ANY REFUND FOR ITEMS RETURNED MORE THAN FIVE BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THE DELIVERY DATE WILL BE IN THE FORM OF A CREDIT REDEEMABLE ON YOUR NEXT PURCHASE, PROVIDED ALL THE OTHER PROVISIONS HAVE BEEN MET.
THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
IF YOU HAVE AN EXCHANGE FOR THE SAME DOLLAR AMOUNT AS THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING OR HANDLING CHARGES WILL BE INCURRED FOR DELIVERY OF THE EXCHANGED ITEM.
IF YOU RETURN THE ITEM AFTER FIVE DAYS OF THE DELIVERY TO YOUR HOME, NO ADJUSTMENT CAN BE MADE UNLESS AGREED UPON IN WRITING.
